Location Guide
Law Library - Located in downtown Jackson. MC students can check out circulating materials with a valid MC ID card.
LRC (Learning Resource Center) - Main floor, back of the building. Materials in the LRC do circulate, but check out periods vary. Check with LRC staff.
MBHC (Mississippi Baptist Historical Commission) - Third floor, near the elevator. MBHC materials do not circulate.
Quinn Library Art Department - Aven Fine Arts Building. Materials in the Quinn collection do not circulate.
Speed/Basement Stacks - Basement area. The basement collection or "stacks" include most of Speed Library's circulating books.
Speed/Circulation Desk -
Speed/Juvenile - Basement area. Juvenile and curriculum lab materials do circulate.
Speed/MC Collection -
Speed/Ready Reference - Third floor, behind the reference desk.Ready reference materials do not circulate.
Speed/Reference Room - Main floor, through the glass double doors on the right. Reference materials do not circulate.
Speed/Reserves - LRC, main floor. Reserves do circulate, but rules and check out periods vary. Check with LRC staff.

Can't find that specific book or article?
Order it through our Interlibrary Loan service (ILL). Faculty, staff, and currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate students can request materials not owned by Speed Library.
Books are usually loaned free of charge, but loan fees can range from postage costs to $25, depending on the policies of the lending library. Many libraries in the state and region have ILL reciprocal agreements concerning charges and no fees or photocopy charges are levied. Speed Library does not charge for this service to its borrowers.
