An online database that indexes roughly 4,500 publications, providing full-text access to more than 3,000 journals and magazines. Sources include scholarly journals, news magazines and select newspaper articles. Dates of coverage vary according to title.

Communication & Mass Media Complete (EBSCO)
CMMC includes numerous journals in communication, mass media, and other closely-related fields. Provides indexing and abstracts for more than 570 journals, and full text for over 450 journals, with PDFs and searchable cited references from their first issues to the present, dating as far back as 1915.
JSTOR
JSTOR includes scholarship published in more than 1,400 of the highest-quality academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as monographs and other materials valuable for academic work.

Nexis Uni provides access to the full text of thousands of publications, including national and international newspapers, popular and general-interest magazines, economics and trade journals, company financial reports, legal cases and law journals, medical and health sources, and the Public Opinion Online database, produced by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research.

Literature Resource Center
Access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of authors from every age and literary discipline. Provides the full-text of three major literary resources; Dictionary of Literary Biography, Contemporary Authors, and Contemporary Literary Criticism.

MLA International Bibliography This link opens in a new window
Citations to published scholarly literature in linguistics, modern languages, literature, communicative behavior, and folklore. Detailed coverage of English, American, European, Asian, African, and Latin American literature. Indexes journal articles, relevant monographs, working papers, dissertations, proceedings, and bibliogrpahies.

A comprehensive selection of prestigious humanities, arts, and social sciences journals with full text access to more than 300 scholarly journals.

Includes a collection of 452 peer-reviewed, full-text journals. Coverage includes journals in business (organizational studies, organizational behavior, etc.), communication/media, criminology, education, health sciences, nursing, political science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, economics, engineering, gender studies, geography, history, linguistics, philosophy, and social work

Tips for Searching

When searching for journal articles, look at the bibliographies at the end of any articles that relate to your topic. Searching the sources used by writers and researchers is a great way to find additional sources for your own work.

If you find a citation for an article in a bibliography, you can search for that article by first looking for the journal title in Journal Finder Then look for the year, volume and issue, and article title.
