Our Staff

Dr. Anthony Kay, Executive Director:

Dr. Kay is a graduate of Carson-Newman University with a BA in History and English.  He holds two degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, with a concentration in church history.  He has also pastored in Mississippi and Florida.

Heather Moore, Assistant Director:

Heather has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Western Carolina University and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Southern Mississippi.  She worked at Murray State University and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, before coming to Mississippi College and the Baptist Historical Commission in 2008.  

Emily Jones, Archivist:

Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts in History from Delta State University (1999) and a Master's degree in Public History from the State University of West Georgia (2004), Emily began her career in archives and museums at Atlanta History Center's Kenan Research Center as the Collections Manager for the Archives. In 2003, Emily began serving as the University Archivist for Delta State University before joining the MS Baptist Historical Commission in 2024 as their archivist.
